Goddard's Office of the Assistant Director for Information Sciences announces the second GSFC Information Sciences and Technology (IS&T) Colloquium presentation of the Fall 2000 Series, by Jon Toigo, whose 1999 IT bestseller, The Holy Grail of Data Storage Management, examines current trends and emerging technologies for data storage and its management.

Mr. Toigo is an independent writer and a consultant focused on the practical business value of information technology and specializing in business automation solutions. He is the author of nine books on information systems and networks, in addition to more than 300 articles on data processing and Internetworking. Mr. Toigo possesses 15 years of hands-on experience within the IT organizations of several large financial institutions. He has worked on the development of centralized and distributed systems for corporate and governmental clients. A Managing Principal of Toigo Productions, Mr. Toigo founded his firm in 1994 with his wife and partner, Margaret Romao Toigo, and splits his time between writing about technology and working with technology vendors to identify real-world applications and business value for their products and services.
